Burnin’ For You - Blue Oyster Cult

There are a lot of theories about this song—it’s about the rock and roll lifestyle, about life on the road as a constantly touring band, it’s a huge nod to Kerouac’s On the Road. I like to look at it in the context of Supernatural because it’s the show that unearthed my love for BOC. Aside from the verses being a pretty accurate description of Sam and Dean’s life to this point, for me, Burnin’ For You has always been the Wincest anthem, especially for Season 3—a time when Dean, facing death, finally gives himself to his desires and allows himself to want because he knows he’s going to burn either way.
